Benjamin's quilt


I finally finished Benjamin's quilt. It took me so long, I was worried that he would be out of his cot before it was ready. I love making things by hand, but the downside is they take forever if you're not working on them all the time.

Blogging - a new experience

Last week it was Facebook. This week it is a blog. What will be next?

I'm what Barbara Sher describes in her book Refuse to Choose as a scanner, someone fascinated by so many areas she can't settle for one. I'm always working on a number of projects, so I never get bored.

This week I'm working on a hand-sewn quilt for my newest grandchild, Benjamin, who is now 4 months old. The colour scheme is lime green/navy/white. I've cut out some of the squares and have started to piece together the smaller ones:
